Learning and development

We share our experience as expert practitioners, creating and running training and skills programmes for our clients and partner organisations.

While we use our own core learning and development courses, we always ask from the start what your specific needs are, and tailor our content. For example, you may want us to account for regional or local policies and practice, or change the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application to suit your course participants.

The practitioners we put forward will always have direct and current experience of the subject matter. This means you get the benefit from a trainer or course leader with both sound knowledge and tangible experience.

We ensure our presentation and teaching styles match learners’ aptitudes and the results you need for your business. You will always receive a learning outcome evaluation from us. This will help plan your future staff and organisation’s development, and manage the changing needs of your clients or service users.

Here are some examples of the learning and development programmes we run – we are also happy to create courses customised to the exact learning needs of your organisation and staff:

  • Personal health budgets – context and implementation
  • Teaching the principles of the NHS Continuing Healthcare framework
  • How to apply Continuing Healthcare checklists, decision support tools and eligibility criteria in your work
  • Being an effective Local Review Panel member: your role and responsibilities
  • Understanding the implications of the Mental Capacity Act, including professional duties, acting in best interests and deprivation of liberty safeguards
  • Person-centred assessment
